Gavaskar to present memorabilia to Louisville cricket museum

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar will present some of his memorabilia to the proposed cricket museum at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

Gavaskar met Lonnie Ali, widow of the ‘The Greatest’, and the Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer last Wednesday and discussed ways of establishing a cricket museum at the center.

The batting maestro had visited the boxing legend’s home town in October 2017 to inaugurate a cricket ground named after him.

Louisville Sports Commission board member Jai Bokey and Fischer believe that their vision of making Louisville a cricket destination in the US is finally taking shape.
